In today’s online environment the “username and password” approach to security have become increasingly less secure. Many log-ins can be compromised in minutes, and private data (such as personal and financial details) is under increasing threat.
As passwords have become increasingly less secure, whether through data breaches or poor user practices, more and more individuals are moving to 2fa to secure their digital lives.
What is 2-factor-authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is sometimes called multiple factor authentication. In simple terms, it adds an extra layer of security to every online platform you access. The first layer is generally a combination of a username and password. Adding one more step of authenticating your identity makes it harder for an attacker to access your data.
How to enable 2-factor-authentication in GoRamp?
You can do it in just couple of minutes be these few steps:
- Firstly, get the mobile App for your iOS or Android mobile device.
- Go to settings of your GoRamp account.
- Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera or directly from Authenticator App.
- Enter the code that you see on your mobile phone’s screen.
- Press activate!
Next time that you login to the GoRamp system it will ask you to authenticate via the app. Repeat the step of entering the code from mobile phone and do not forget to tick on “Don’t ask me again” for the authenticator to remember you next time.
Keep your accounts secure!
